Responsibilities

• Lead weekly student gatherings that are fun and Jesus-centered
• Build small groups where students are known and discipled
• Recruit and coach volunteer leaders with clear training
• Partner with parents as the primary disciple-makers at home
• Plan camps, retreats, and mission experiences with excellence
• Create safe environments with background checks and clear policies
• Coordinate with children's and adult ministries for family continuity
• Track attendance and follow-up for guests and missing students
• Teach Scripture in ways students can understand and live
• Care for students in crisis with pastoral wisdom and referrals

Requirements

• 3+ years in student ministry leadership
• Love for middle and high school students and their parents
• Experience building volunteer teams and safe ministry systems
• Clear teaching ability for students at different maturity levels
• Strong planning skills for weekly gatherings and large events
• Willingness to be present in students’ lives beyond Sundays
• Ability to communicate with parents promptly and warmly
• Background check clearance and commitment to child safety standards

A day in the life

• Start with prayer, priorities, and a quick team sync
• Deep-work block on preparation, pastoral work, or product delivery
• Meetings with collaborators that end with owners and next steps
• Hands-on ministry, customer work, or weekend readiness tasks
• End-of-day note: what moved, what is blocked, who needs care
