Responsibilities

• Design age-appropriate teaching that is gospel-rich and engaging
• Recruit, train, and schedule classroom volunteers
• Build check-in systems that feel safe and welcoming to parents
• Create large-group moments kids remember for the right reasons
• Partner with parents through clear communication and resources
• Maintain safety policies, ratios, and room readiness
• Develop curriculum pathways from nursery through elementary
• Host family events that help homes practice faith together
• Coach volunteers with feedback and celebration
• Coordinate special needs inclusion with dignity and care

Requirements

• Experience leading children’s ministry or elementary education
• Joyful presence with kids and calm confidence with parents
• Strong volunteer recruitment and training habits
• Detail orientation around safety, ratios, and room readiness
• Curriculum discernment that is gospel-centered
• Ability to run large-group environments with energy and order
• Collaborative posture with family and student ministries
• Background check clearance and child-protection commitment

A day in the life

• Start with prayer, priorities, and a quick team sync
• Deep-work block on preparation, pastoral work, or product delivery
